Today I woke up with one thing on my mind – Scott Kelby’s Worldwide Photo Walk. You can tell I am excited because I woke up at 5am. My pals over at the Jamaica group on Flickr have signed us up with the group being led by Big Dave. The plan is to focus on Port Royal and it’s environs, I went to Port Royal to get some sunset shots late last year, they can be seen here.
Port Royal was the center of shipping and commerce in the Caribbean during the 17 century but was destroyed by an earthquake. Today it is just a quiet fishing village that is in need of care and restoration. It about 7 hours I’ll be joining a group of at least 25 Jamaica photographers so look out for the updates on my flickr page or and then here on my photoblog.
