I have a Canon SX30IS and I get a green horizontal line across the top of my pictures. But here’s the weird thing – if I take a picture vertically, the line isn’t there. I don’t get it.

Just about all of what you point out happens to be supprisingly precise and that makes me ponder the reason why I had not looked at this in this light previously. This piece truly did switch the light on for me personally as far as this specific topic goes. But at this time there is actually just one factor I am not really too comfortable with and while I try to reconcile that with the actual main idea of the issue, let me observe what all the rest of your subscribers have to point out.Nicely done.

I also have a sony cyber shot DSC-P10 that has lines going through the pictures and through the video.
I have had my camera about five years though so Im not to upset. I just wanted to let you know I have the same problem. I was hopeing it was one of the settings causeing it. Thinking now its the sencer.
Crazy thing it dosent do it all the time. I Paid around five hundrad dollers for mine five years ago and you can get a better camera with higher pixels and HD Video for half the price. Which is really cool how the prices have gone down. Good luck to everyone. Renee

It too got the same issue in my Nikon P100.It was bought in US for 300 dollors approx and now i dont know how to fix it.All my worth photos runied.

I have bought my Sony NEX-C3D kit for its attractive price and potential for using my existing Minolta optics. Despite getting a PIXCO adapter for the MD mount, and no trouble attaching the Minolta lenses, the NEX-C3 will not allow me to take a picture in any shooting mode with a message that a lens was not properly attached. Also, I bought two brands of generic FW-50 batteries as spares, one is accepted but the other rejected as incompatible. Looks like Sony is overly protective of its own range of products and may prove to be a negative factor in deciding between similar range of compact EVIL DSLRs.

Same here on my DSC-H50, but I don’t think it’s a firmware issue. I don’t see many posts about it for sony cameras, but if you look for “blue line” on monitors/tv’s it happens a lot. Some people report having the “board” replaced on their TV to fix the problem, so Sony would probably replace something similar on the camera if we paid them. I’m not sure I want to pay almost $200 for a $400 camera, though I’ve loved using it.
Undecided but open to suggestions.

I have the DSC-HX9V and also have noticed that it does not recognize movies in iPhoto or iMovie (latest versions) if the movies are shot at the 2 highest resolutions
