Princess Nelly is always a willing model

I have a younger sister affectionately called Nelly. She is my little princess and always a willing model for me when i want to practise taking photos. School is out now for Easter break and she accompanied me to work a few days ago. I left work early to carry her to the park for a few hours and of course to take pictures.
I snapped quite a few and posted 4 of the better looking ones on flickr, of the four I posted the one below is my favourite.

I am not joking when I say I am a newbie to photography. I have yet to swallow many of the technicalities of my latest hobby but I have no problem learning through trial and error. This trial and error process has already allowed me to learn how to take and sew together panoramic shots which resulted my my shots of Emancipation Park and Kingston Harbour.
I take random shots almost everyday and it’s my way of getting used to my camera while experimenting with different lighting conditions and camera settings. Check out some random shots below.

Emancipation Park Panoramic Picture

My first panoramic trial and error pictures were of Kingston harbour, decided to try another panoramic shot but this time of Emacipation Park which as I said in a previous posts is one of my favourite locations currently to get my newbie photography action on.
My friends think it’s dark but I like the lighting in the shot, the sky and the park lights which were just coming on in the evening.
Speaking of emancipation park I have been having almost daily photo sessions with birds at the park. I have watched them fight, bathe and hunt worms. It seems that spring is in the air and the birds are out in their numbers. I have already posted a few on my flickr page but expect an update here and a few of my better shots as soon as I find the time to sort through them all.
